Please enlighten us how that's possible....

Being serious here, I really don't get it.

Okay I see you have low fixed costs.. but still man basically running $1 a mile!?!

2,000 to 3,000 isn't good enough for you. Read all my post from before.

I did but there's no breakdown of the numbers.

For example lets say you drive 120,000 miles a year at $1 all miles (as we know actual miles will be less than paid miles.
    That's $120,000 gross.
Say fuel just to keep it simple 7 mpg at $2 that's $34,285
Say all fixed costs are $3,000 a month, truck.. all insurance.. tags blah blah... that's $36,000
Which leaves left about $50,000 a year which you could earn as a company driver a $0.42 a mile running the same miles while getting benefits and not on 1099.
These are just general numbers just to give a picture.

So running numbers around I just don't see how those low rates justify saying good money at all.
If someone can explain and show differently I'm all ears.
All I'm really saying here in my opinion is this place looks cheap to me and drivers can do better elsewhere.

    RERM Thanks this.

So I run a combined 3300 miles ok, but it comes in two different settlement s. Two trips. Ok say one trip is 1900 miles. 1900(1.06)=2016 -1222.8 = 793. The other 1400(1.06)-325= 1484- 320= 1164. 1957 net. The first settlement is with truck payments and fuel for that trip, the second I'm just paying fuel. One payment a week not one a settlement. I get full fuel discounts and no added expense for a maintenance escrow. I had money already . I've been with HVH since May . I've grossed over 38,000 so far this year.

    Thanks for giving an example...
Running 3300 miles is a serious week so there would be more income.
If you're happy that's all that really matters.
I know I wouldn't be able to roll out of bed for $1.06 but that's just me.

I've run with others but made less at a higher base rate but no miles. Here we run out and back to Denver or Wyoming g. Practical miles, discounts. 1.06 is the national pay, the have a larger fsc for the 11 western. Things are changing by the day so I see it going higher. I'm averaging about 3,000 miles a week right now. With resets in between. When most folks see the base rate they're like how do u make it.

There's two settlements one is the most recent and the other is without a truck payment.
