I know these cattle trucks like to make their own rules on the roads.

It most certainly is. I can guarantee some drivers are going to get fined up the wazoo by Missouri Highway Patrol !

Probably because of observing a fair number of these drivers running like their hair is on fire, and they are about to #### their pants.

aussiejosh, kylefitzy and Opus Thank this.

The same can be said for the dry van, reefer crowd.

Absolutely I push the envelope on my speed out on the open road. Traffic is a different story I just ease around, always getting past and dirty looks some even feel the need to break check. We’re always heavy 85 is normal, when it comes to stopping that’s hard as you try to be easy but when the cattle get pushed forward the surge makes that impossible. We have trouble with lane control, when half your load shifts with no warning there isn’t any driver that can catch it for lack of a better term and keep it in his lane. We are responsible for the living breathing cargo on that trailer. In the heat time is truly of the essence, they are without water and feed till they reach their destination which could be 200 to 1500 miles. I will also admit a bit of impatience can be brought out of the best of us when all day every day some fleet ####### jerks his rig out in front of us to turtle race the truck a head of him and puts us on the brakes hard. When if they would hold still 10 seconds I would have gone by. Coming up on slower traffic is part of it and can be done easy. Having a Jack wad doing 66 swap lanes with less than a hundred feet between you when your doing 75 isn’t so easy. Un like normal freight every time we get on the brakes it’s hard on the cattle. Can end up with broken legs etc. Now I’m sure all this falls on deaf ears but till you’ve hauled livestock don’t be so quick to judge and pop off at the mouth. I guarantee a bigger percentage of your kind get tied up or cause the tie up than mine. Everyone makes a mistake, sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn’t. Giving the hand that’s hauling your supper a little space and some half ### consideration wouldn’t kill you.

aussiejosh, Catmando, Siinman and 5 others Thank this.

Not to me. Why is schneider pointed to the right? Looks like Schneider was the one that was going to hit someone and swerved into the cattle truck.
