Dude, I first thought of you because I know you run the tundra.......wasn't going to say anything because I thought it might be impolite.
Good to see you're up on all

From what I am seeing about Wyoming is they are going to start shutting roads completely during snow events.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Man, I've had bad dreams about getting a placarded load that has to go over the hill in Colorado and having to take US 6. Don't get me wrong, there's part of me that wants to go over Loveland Pass just to be able to say I did it, but I've seen the snow up there too.

Hmmm, yeah, let's take these hairpin switchbacks with a load of flammable liquid in three feet of snow. Not! I've taken flatbed loads over Hoosier Pass (north to south) in the summer, that wasn't too bad, but man I do not want to go down those grades through those curves on the snow.

And I've never had a load that would require me to go over 491, so I'm not going to think about that or 550 or Wolf Creek Pass right now. I'll deal with it when (if) it ever happens.

    I wouldn’t go over Loveland either. 6 to 70 to 491 to 40.

I so very badly want a load that gives me a good excuse to go over Loveland, or Wolf Creek... Just to say I have... But not in the winter.

    I’m with you.

I was rolling over vail west bound in October and came to the chain up area right before the 6. It was snowing lightly and no chain up lights for the 70. Huge stack of trucks throwing chains for the 6. Glad I was on the 70 and equally sad I wasn’t one of those guys.

Bud A. and Cattleman84 Thank this.
