I am looking into investing in trucking(oil field) any advice?

Dont do it working with family is the worst. I tried it with my brother it went horrible. Is your brother gonna invest anything in the buisness??

 

Lend him the money to buy some real estate, better return.

 

Everyone I know that tried a deal like this always gets stuck with the truck. The driver (relative) has no skin in the game and at some point WILL walk away.
Then you got to find a driver.

 

Sounds like a solid business plan.

 

Instead of the truck how about buying the ocean front property I have for sale in AZ. Right now both investments are equally risky.

 

Me and my brother hardly speak to each other after being in business together 25 years ago.. in our case we were partners but one partner liked writing a extra cheque for himself occasionally . Maybe with him working for you it won’t affect your relationship if he really needed the job.

 

An awful lot of threads lately similar to this one (usually first time posters). Has the pandemic caused more people than usual to look at trucking as an investment because it has the appearance of still rolling strong?

 

Its alwayz like this, we have a couple Gud months and everyone thinks they can get rich

 

Like I’ve said before... I started my business 13 yrs ago with my brother, 8 yrs ago I bought him out. We started talking again about 10 months ago. Do the math.
