I had two of these that got accidentally thrown out, I was going to use them for beacon work. They are not "impressive" by any means.

 

Another driver fabricated a stainless steel version of the Wilson mirror mount for Cascadias and have me one. I currently have a Predator mounted on it but have a 7’ fiberglass top load antenna that I keep meaning to try.

 

We can't put anything near the mirrors or our truck wash will eat it.

Sounds like environmentalist wackos at there best. I hardly doubt a CB antenna is going to lower your fuel mileage.

Also they claim that this film antenna has the best transmission and receive performance for CB radio, as well as for AM&FM. Maybe people need to call Neil and tell him he’s a liar.

Yeah on our off days drivers are still required to wash our truck. Policy is nothing on mirrors after the third time it caused truck wash malfunction.

 

Ours do everything we need mounted on the back.

 

Policy, whatever. The QD (shown above in a co-phase set-up; truck wash weekly) eliminates concern with close-in (not bird perch) mounts. Ask for exemption. Cheap ### drivers are the problem.
