I had two of these that got accidentally thrown out, I was going to use them for beacon work. They are not "impressive" by any means.
i bought a CB today after 3 years of using hand signals

i think the built in antenna has a short or a bad connection, it says it handles FM/AM/CB all together, and the FM radio has been basically useless since about 4 months of getting the truck new, the CB signal to noise ratio sounds about the same as the FM radio. passenger door speaker also developed an intermittent short at the same time, which i attribute to moisture ingress, it shorts out the same way my engine brake was shorting out sporadically, coming in and out with road bumps and seemingly unrelated operating conditions (RAIN or WARM WET CONDITIONS). condensation in Houston mornings creates a LOT OF WATER on the inside of everything, especially when you need AC to stay cool at the same time. need to figure out where this internal foil antenna is.

Breedlove Quick Disconnect. Cover with duct tape.

Sounds like environmentalist wackos at there best. I hardly doubt a CB antenna is going to lower your fuel mileage.
Also they claim that this film antenna has the best transmission and receive performance for CB radio, as well as for AM&FM. Maybe people need to call Neil and tell him he’s a liar. -
Gets FL affirmative-action “engineers” off the hook by citing supplier claims.
Like the overly-bright blue indicator for high beam I’ve had to cover with electrical tape. -

Ours do everything we need mounted on the back.
