Just became aware of this site a couple days ago. At this exact moment I'm in my first week of otr training with cre. On my way to vegas for a delivery. Because I have no experience, and after reading "ALL" the posts on here I've decided to go company team after my training period and make the best of it for the next 6 months to a year. I must thank all for your input because I was leaning toward leasing. Again, THANKS!!

Good luck TC, and welcome to the forum. Just keep remembering that "this too shall pass." A person can put up with a lot of crap for a short time, if they keep their goals in mind.
Company leases are generally just not a good deal, as you have seen. My personal belief is that a person needs to have a few years of experience driving somebody else's truck before trying to go the owner/operator route.
You know that as a rookie, you are going to make mistakes. If you tear up equipment while learning, might as well be a company's equipment, instead of your own. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not encouraging you to tear something up, but stuff does happen. . .
The longer you are around the business, and the more you learn, the better your chances are of making a go of your own business, on down the road.Baack Thanks this. -
I think this post deserves a bump because it's so typical.
We hear from CRE drivers a couple of times, then not a word.
In this case, it's been over a year now and no word from the original poster.
I hope they're doin' ok.

I dont really think the poster was intending to come back, just said thanks and what he decided to do....
