Peelot, loves and TA need to take a lesson from quik trip...

Haven't slept well this week so I stopped in for a nap. Went inside to walk around and stretch my legs after the nap and I was rather excited by what I found inside.

Freshly made foods, inclusive of veggies and healthy options. Chicken, lettuce, tomato, and onion, with hummus or pico de gallo was about the same price as one of peelots fully decked burgers. Fruit/veggie cups were a decent price for a convenience store and actually looked fresh.

After a veggie cup and a pico de gallo laden sammich, I'm a happier person.

If it's an economic argument from peelot or others, qt makes it work. Burgers, fries and otherwise sell because it's all you offer that looks even half decent...

    In addition...

Looking like this, doesn't make you a truck driver.

This also doesn't make you a truck driver...

    Closer...but still no.

Eh...kinda forgot where I was going with this.

But I do feel that truck driving shouldn't be classed as an unskilled profession. Yeah, a monkey could do what we do, and a monkey can back better than some humans we've seen.

Needs to be re-classed, and made so you can't go and learn for a couple weeks and get behind the wheel.

Frankly. I also feel that driving courses should also be offered, again, in schools. And, you must attend and graduate that class before you can even get a learners.

But...much like removing all warning signs to allow natural selection to continue its appropriate course...it very likely will not happen.

Getting ready to get my NY load picked up this afternoon. Hopefully the shop has resolved the trailer ABS problem I've been picking at on and off for months. I have been convinced it was a wheel sensor/bearing preload problem since it's more consistent when loaded. They finally agreed to pull hubs and get into that, now that everything else has been addressed already. Keeping my fingers crossed that the "inspect me" light on the left rear of the trailer will remain off now. Snow in the forecast this weekend in western NY, so operational ABS will be a plus. Probably won't need them, but will throw my chains back on the truck this trip.

    Or lick their eyebrows.

There's a blade somewhere, you're just distracted. It's either in her hair or tucked in her bra.

QT is the bomb for convenience store food. I have eaten WAY too many roller taquitos there. The rest of their food is remarkably good too. Another hidden gem are Speedways if you can find one with truck pumps and a spot to park in. The burgers from the grill are very good and the rest of the store is a lot more appealing than the usual truck stop. When I'm passing thru Lebanon TN, all the other drivers are cramming into that crummy Pilot while I roll right on past about a 1/2 mi and fuel at Speedway. Glad I could help with your weight gaining program LOL.

Mine will come on for low batteries after running the bunk heater all night, then putting on a pot of coffee in the morning. However, you'd hardly notice it with the reefer purring away right next to it.
