    But probably not fired

I went into the van buren term the other day with a gash on the inside sidewall of one of my drive tires. Obviously needed replaced. Shop said it'll be a couple hours. Uggggg ok

Two hours later I check in with them and get told atleast another hour as the decided to force regen my exhaust. Ok.

Hour later I check in and truck is ready. I check it out and lo and behold it has the same tire on the truck. Never replaced. The "mechanic" just aired it up. I go tell the service desk and he tells me the guy wrote it up as replaced tire. I tell him to come look. He leans over the tire to look. I reach in and pull the rubber flap out and show him the hole. It was 2"x3" flap cut in the side wall. Now I didn't really think a person could turn this red. He was pissed. Mech had already left. He had another replace the tire. Took 15 minutes.

Glad I really didn't want to run hard that day. Lol.

Oh I am sure Jim Shafer will put this mechanic's name in the hat for USA Truck's mechanic of the year. Hell he might get a raise.

Lol probably. Never mind he risked my life and the life of others on the road with me.

Oh well that's why I PTI my truck every time I stop and take off

The Van Buren shop gets tighter by the day. Everytime I opened my hood the horn would fall out. Just dangling by the wires. It took 4 trips to get them to put it on right. I was also told that anything needing fixing had to be a DOT issue.:biggrin_25512:

Really, anything WRONG with the truck is a DOT ISSUE.

To be 100% correct if it is on the truck it better be working in the eyes of DOT.

Fuel guage is not a DOT issue. Mine never worked. Icon system never turning off is not a DOT issue. They won't fix it. They are incapable. They won't fix the seat leaking air. I'm just saying they won't look at it unless USA policy makes them.
