As you know living in the police state of California can be a burden. I am considering purchasing my own truck but I was quoted $32k for insurance. I thought that being her {California} played a role in the price. I thought that registering the truck in another state might prove advantageous. Any ideas?
I live in California but i'd like to register my truck in another state

$32k is a ridiculous amount for insurance. I had a quote for $10k also living in CA, you are either not stating that you have a DUI on your record or you have a crazy insurance agency. Plenty of reasons not to truck in CA, but that's not one of them...
Also, it would be highly illegal to operate a truck exclusively in CA and not have it registered in CA. You can try to get away with it if you want, but it's not going to work forever. You will be caught and you will be fined egregiously because CA hates the idea of you not conforming to it's laws. Just saying.... -
