As you know living in the police state of California can be a burden. I am considering purchasing my own truck but I was quoted $32k for insurance. I thought that being her {California} played a role in the price. I thought that registering the truck in another state might prove advantageous. Any ideas?

Theres even more advantages to moving to another state and visiting it when you want.

Move. Everything will be cheaper. Such as Mississippi.

Or even one of the no tax states.

$32k is a ridiculous amount for insurance. I had a quote for $10k also living in CA, you are either not stating that you have a DUI on your record or you have a crazy insurance agency. Plenty of reasons not to truck in CA, but that's not one of them...

Also, it would be highly illegal to operate a truck exclusively in CA and not have it registered in CA. You can try to get away with it if you want, but it's not going to work forever. You will be caught and you will be fined egregiously because CA hates the idea of you not conforming to it's laws. Just saying....

Take it down a notch!!!....I don't drink....never had a DUI in life and I don't have any tickets. No Accidents or violations of any kind. I called progressive and they referred me to to a broker and he gave me that quote hence that is why I am here to compare and contrast...not be interrogated

or you have very bad driving record, DUIs, few rollovers,..
or your agent wants to become a billionaire.
    no third option !
My neighbor pays around $14000 . He has 6 months old CDL, 2014 Cascadia and 5 years old dry van. 1 million liability.
