I love fuel hauling

Diesel doesn’t need vapor recovery. But if there’s one there I hook up my vapor hose. That’s our policy

 

Diesel does not require vapor recovery, but it does require somewhere for the vapor to go so that you don't pressure up the tank and risk vapor-locking the whole setup.

Definitely let dispatch make the call on this. I am strongly of the opinion that the customer should have a proper (spring-operated) cap on that vent stack.

Explain this:

Last night I got a ticket for "violating city code". I'm pulling out of a gas station after my drop. I'm in a very small city close to downtown. As soon as I pull out onto the road I notice the lights. The officer tells me that I no trucks are allowed within the city limits. I show him my BOL and ask how I'm suppose to service stores with fuel if trucks are not allowed. He said, "Take it up with the judge". I called the clerk this morning to set my court date. My dispatcher didn't have any advice for me either. That makes no sense!!

 

That’s unbelievable. I wonder if that cop fuels up there and thinks fuel just magically shows up at the pump. You are a service vehicle for that station and law shouldn’t apply to you.

 

Well that's special, hope you get a judge that's a little more rational.
