    Here goes:

We had a driver that picked up a FROZEN load in MN and went to California with it. The driver went 2000 miles, and forgot to turn on the reefer, and admitted that they did not know they supposed to. This particular driver has done this load before. Obviously, the load was rejected, and they sat in CA until the company found somewhere to take it.

    My questions are:
    1. How does this driver not know to turn on the reefer, especially when every truck loading there has their reefer running?
    2. Did this driver not see the loaders all wearing freezer suits?
    3. I just did the same load. Did this driver not see the Set at -10 on the bills?
    4. With this company being an exclusive Carrier reefer company, did they not notice the rumble of the reefer coming off and on while driving?
    5. Why did this driver not realize that that green led light in their mirror not lit up?

I would like to hear what else others think about this driver and their situation.

What would you have done to this driver if this was your company?
Oh by the way, that driver just got a slap on the wrist

he would be fired, for dereliction of duty, and a claim against the company....

no need to keep someone like that onboard.

and i would DAC him to no end.

Does the driver speak english? Maybe he didn’t understand the bills? Either way it’s pretty inexcusable.

I'd fire him. And maybe the guy that hired him.

o/p, obviously, you are not the owner of the company...learn from this....if you should start your own business someday...

if anyone is THAT callous to cause you a claim and grief, fire him on the spot, no questions, no assumptions.

a PROFESSIONAL driver is supposed to have learnt as much as possible to do the job, or ask questions.

furthermore, you just DO NOT HIRE anyone that "claims" to have experience.....you "test him", and YOU GET references.....!!!!!!!!

My guess would be some sort of passive aggressive type. They have a gripe with the company or someone within the company and they don’t have the backbone required to speak their mind.

    1. No sir/madam, I did not hire this driver.
    2. I could care less about the load, I was just throwing facts out there and seeing what would other drivers would ve done IF that driver drove for them
