I was going to say, Try a GPS but be careful when you get close to those 13'6" Bridges, They may not be that high. Sorry to hear of your Mother, I would certainly go by those suggested, I was also thinking of like a Office supply Type of place, They should run CDL Drivers,There may even be a place like a United Stationers they are a specialty supplier to the Office supply stores, They run at night sometimes they may even use a Bob Tail, That way you can work at night, get home run the brother to school Etc. get some sleep wash and repeat. I hope this helps, there is plenty of work for anyone willing to do so.

Put it the one year OTR with any company across the US that year will fly by. After you put in your year you will understand why companies require that experience since you will learn more than any trainer or school has taught you.

Check with Cypress for local work. Sometimes those OTR companies need a driver to have trailers preloaded or unloaded for the OTR drivers.

Didn't you read he has to help support a family ? Bottom feeder wages don't support many single drivers with financial responsibilities .

Almost all trucking jobs, including local aren't going to mesh with your responsibilities to your brother. 50-60 hours a week is the norm for local work. If your brother is old enough, it might be time for him to grow up, or drop after school activities unless he can arrange transport. Bottom line is, if your dad works the typical 40 hr week, he would have way more time compared to your 60 hr week, and possibly an occasional night in a hotel when you run out of hours. Beer and soda will be the easiest to get on, hardest work, and they don't pay much in FL. You're going to have to work very hard to find a local job in Central FL with no experience compared to other parts of the country. Good luck and checkout Comcar.

No driving job will have you home during the day to be able to shuttle a child during school, and after school activity, hours.

Unless you drive at night and then stay up all day...
