I think I just committed career suicide, ticket 25 over the limit

This is not a mistake. 25 over is reckless driving. A mistake would be 3-5mph over and a cop hellbent on writing a ticket. The OP should have been arrested on the spot and their vehicle impounded. Purposely "gunning it" and getting over 80mph in a 55 should result in loss of license if you ask me. This person has demonstrated poor judgement behind the wheel. I'm not perfect but I've been driving since the age of 18 and have never had a ticket or an accident. Driving commercial since age 22. Been riding motorcycles since the age of 26. Sportbikes for 3 years. Those things will do 25 over if you sneeze while riding.

What's scary is that there are lawyers and judges that will get these types of tickets reduced to non moving violations. And we wonder why 40,000 people a year die on our roads.

 

So you never done 25 over the limit on a public road or never been caught?

That's so true..I pass a mega carrier in the 70mph zone,slow down for the construction zone,only to have the mega fly by going thru construction zone.
