I would like to stay in PA if at all possible, as I have an apartment, and have no where to put my stuff, nor a place to park my vehicle, once I get trained and I’m on the road, I’ll go ahead and get rid of all my stuff, and live on the road, but I don’t want to do that until I have the CDL in my hand

    Chinatown Thanks this.

You can park your car at the terminal. What do you have; car/pickup/camper?

Started a new medication and my doctor told me not to go, until she monitored how it worked

My plan when I do pull the trigger is to put all my stuff in my POV and pay for a storage yard for a few months. That way, when I do come off the road, it's all in one place.

Many drivers do that. I've seen drivers cars parked at terminals and the only space inside the car is the drivers seat. We do what we have to do in life to move on to something better.

When I talked to the schools, they told me they didn't want the students driving to the school and leaving them there because they would quickly run out of parking space, etc.... in theory, I could drive to the CRST traing yard every day from where I live now, and sleep in my own bed every night. Not that my 1992 Isuzu Trooper with 250,000 miles wouldn't make, just a lot of extra miles I'd rather not add to it.

But I can see once you have the job and a home terminal, then I can see them letting you park there.

Why don't one of you guys or a few of you, pool some cash and buy that condo in Las Vegas for $15K. Then you have a place to park and an address with no personal income taxes.
There's a cdl school there that will finance the tuition and the first payment isn't due until 45 days after graduation. You can even beat that by hiring on with a company that does tuition reimbursement, such as Melton Truck Lines and many others.
