I agree, carrying the cans is an option. But know that DOT only allows a max of 5 gallons of gasoline on the truck at any time.
I can stretch 1.6 gallons for about 12 hours on a cooling load with my current setup. Not sure about heating, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

@Hurst what model genset do you have that’s so quiet?

Work as hard as you want or as little as you want.
I have done it both ways. I spent almost 8 years a while back only working 2.5 months out of the year and than going sailing and traveling the rest of the year
Before that I had a business you worked 7 days a week and though I loved the money I missed my free time. -
The Honda gennys are sweet, i have a eu6500i at the house, so quiet it's crazy!Derailed Thanks this. -
Any business is like that, it's not like the staples song "taking care of business" , that's fantasy... At least until you've got it running on some momentum.. That takes time -
Honda EU3000is.
Nothing like the genset you see on job sites. These things are whisper quiet.
Hurstrank Thanks this. -
Lets say that you buy an older truck and pay $15k for it, rebuilding the engine and so on front to back costs you another $50k, you're still into it for a fraction of a new truck without the headaches of def etc. Besides my 3 new Mack trucks, sits 6 old trucks, I still prefer the oldest of them all, nice mechanical Cat power, 15 speed, rubber block, and for some ride comfort a good air ride seat.
The_Great_Corn and kenn2632 Thank this.
