I have a pickup in Idaho Falls tomorrow at 9am going to Manassas VA Appointment: 5/20/2022 5:30 AM
I like to run hard and get to places early to avoid potential problems. Any tips on parking around Manassas or route and preferred rest locations would be appreciated.
I've been usually going to CA or AZ so this is a new trip for me.
    Thanks for any tips.

    My current thoughts are
    26 to 89
    89 to 191
    191 to 80
    80 to 94
    94 to 90
    90 to 76
    76 to 70
    70 to 522
    522 to 37
    37 to 81
    81 to 66
    And back again.

26 to 191 is slow, but very pretty and time-wise just as fast as going back down to 30. You just have to take it easy and enjoy the ride until you get to Bondurant. If you like ice cream the corner store in Farson makes huge cones!

Manassas has plenty of space to park - take Prince William parkway exit south of I-66 - 234 south - not the business exit

Cabelas off the I-66/Route 29 interchange has truck parking. The Lowe's there I've delivered to and also generally doesn't say nothing about trucks parking there for a 10 if you're flatbed but greasy door swingers they don't want trashing up the place. But typically when I see NOVA for AM appointment and I'm coming from the west I will stop at the casino in Charles Town WV and start early to beat the traffic. If I'm coming up from the south I'll take 29/15 up and stay at the BBQ shop just south of Warrenton.

If you’re early you can park at the 7/11 in Front Royal off of 66. The Walmart there also has limited parking. That will put you 35-40 minutes from your delivery.

Been years since I've been there. Grew up and started driving in Wy. I've had a lot of ice cream from that store. I also met my wife in Farson, both of us just passing thru. Good thing I stopped for ice cream that day, changed my life for the better almost 40 years ago.

@#=$%_&***, truck won't start. I was going to head up to Idaho Falls tonight so I could have my full hours tomorrow but the dang truck is dead. I turn off the batterys when I park it for a few days so it wasn't something draining the battery. Hooked up jumper cables to a car for an hour but still couldn't get it going. Now I'm waiting on a service truck. I'll have to leave Tooele UT at 5am to make the pickup and burn four hours off my clock.

D.Tibbitt, Oxbow and Magoo1968 Thank this.
