AK, are there any other drivers for this outfit that are now being left out in the cold? Sounds like you'll have to get into a rather long line to get what you have coming to you. It's too bad you can't sell the wagon while the owner keeps you sitting. If you were still loaded, maybe you could sell some of the freight off it. That may be the only way you get your mulla, unfortunately.

Seems when one works for a small outfit, he needs to keep tabs on its legal issues before the dark clouds roll in. I'd definitely do that today with fuel prices going through the roof.

How many trucks does this company have? Maybe I can guess its name.

He wouldn't do that, which is why I gave that advice. I could have been told him to sell the moon and said the same thing.

My point is he will have a tough time getting what is his, as obviously he's not alone standing outside this company's front door.

Note to anyone going to work for a owner operator most of them cheat you out of your money. not all but enough that you should never work for one unless you are paid by the company they are leased to not the owner operator, that way you know you will get your money. I've drove for 19 years and the stories I've heard about owner operators is many many many!!!!! Also you could sue him in small claims court take him to Judge Judy Court!!!

 

..just curious AK, if u didnt receive a pay stub how did u know he took out taxes; how did u receive your pay?
