Even though my current inspection is not expired. But now I have a new truck number. Do i need another DOT inspection done?
If you switch carriers do you need a new dot inspection?

Shouldn't. It's good for 1 year. Truck number is irrelevant, it has your vin# and make and model on it.
Shotgun94 Thanks this. -
Nope. Show them the current one within the previous years time.
Shotgun94 Thanks this. -
It depends on the company.
Some require it every quarterly. -
Ok, bc I asked the TA and they said I needed a new one. My carrier said I was ok and didn't need a new one. Yes the Vin is the same. Just new carrier akd truck number. Also the TA that did the DOT inspection mistyped my vin number in on their inspection but it is obvious it is referring to my truck so I wanted to be sure b4 I spend 60 bucks on another dot.

TruckRunner and SteerTire Thank this.

That vin must be correct on the certificate...
If you bought new tires at loves then drove it across to the ta they'd tell you your tires are bad. Ta shouldn't be trusted to change a light bulb.Cattleman84, stayinback, Shotgun94 and 1 other person Thank this. -
