Caliche for building the pads, or maybe cuttings. But cuttings can also go in end-dumps, roll-off boxes, or vacuum tankers.

Frac sand usually goes in sandboxes or those trailers that look like a modified grain hopper. I don't know what they're called, but they're built specifically for hauling frac sand. A few years ago it mostly traveled in pneumatics.

 

Do oilfield trucking jobs offer 14 days on and 14. I know that other positions work this schedule, but was wondering if a sand or crude oil hauler could work this schedule

 

Most crude and sand haulers work 6/2 or 5/2/5/3, but you might be able to work that schedule if you work for an owner operator or some bottom-of-the-barrel, fly-by-night company.

I think the closest thing you might find to a 14/14 schedule working for a legitimate company would be hauling cement for Halliburton, Schlumberger, Weatherford, etc.

 

ACME, UVL and American eagle appear to be doing most of the hauling in South Louisiana.
Depends on who's the cut throat on rates to get the work.
