Hey y'all, Anybody know if my insurance provider would see my ifta reports? Like if they found out that I hardly ever run in my "home state," would they dump me? Thanks!

They may or may not ask for your last 4 quarters of IFTA come renewal time.... -
Or what would the irp/ifta office do if they saw that I hardly ever run in my home base plate state?

Insurance uses your ifta or irp to determine your premium.
US is evaluated by zones and large cities. Where you run does affect the premium.jlip44 and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

This ain’t the 70’and 80’s, insurance companies have came a long way. You can’t cheat them like the older days. You must be new.

I've been with both Progressive and Great West. Neither of them ever asked for IFTA. However, every renewal I would shop around with agents and some would ask but none of them had an issue when I refused to share them.
It certainly can affect your rates but that could be bad or good depending on where you're based versus where you run. Nobody can see those filings from any insurance company unless you share them directly and your IFTA office could care less where you're running as long as there are no discrepancies with your filingsjlip44 Thanks this. -
It should not matter, unless you declared to run within 500 mile radius, and went beyond the parameter too much.
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
