hey thats great hopefully Chicago Area will go Completely to Rail and US OTR Drivers won't have to play in that nightmare land..

Truck parking is becoming a issue everywhere. Some of the things causing this are some of our own.
I have seen numerous places trashed by "drivers" or so they call themselves. It is like this is thier right to toss trash out for someone to come along and pick up. They used to allow parking along Hwy 30 outside of the Walmart DC in Sterling. Now there are no parking signs and alot less trash.
A friend of mine hauls into Chicago 3 times a week. Some of the places he goes to used to have areas he could park if early or needed to take a break. Now these areas are off limits due to "drivers" throwing pee bottles and other garbage out on the ground as well as running over signs or knocking down light poles.
I am not sure what the answer to these dirtballs is.

Well put, I hate dirtbag drivers, there are tons of these losers out there making it harder for the rest of us.
Trash is Trash some people will never get a clue.

Ps that T/S sucked anyway.

I don't understand how the State can allow that to happen with out subsidizing that T/S at least for a short time while they can build a couple Rest Areas or Service Plaza's to make up for that lost parking.......

DOESN'T ANYONE USE THEIR HEAD!!??? i mean if you look at it at night its packed its not a painting... those are Real Trucks not Cardboard Cutouts.... Where does IL DOT expect those Semi's to go????? they are there for a reason...

No, that isn't the 1, this 1 is where US 30(I think) and I-55 intersect east of Joliet, the 1 you are thinking of is where IL 53 and I-55 intersect at Bollingbrook. Both are pay if you stay.

You are expected to plan your trip so that you have parking somewhere until it is time to go and unload or load.

I don't think the IL DOT is behind the closure, the real estate is too valuable to be used to park trucks on even for pay.

Had a manager at a t/s in california tell me she had a count of 160 of those bottles everyday...even though the trash can was behind the truck.. simply opened the door and sat it on the ground.... what morons... should tie it to their mirrors as they drive... kind of like getting a dog to stop killing chickens by putting a dead one around its neck for a week...
