i am having a hard time dealing with a decision that will affect the next 3 years of our life

my delima our awesome lease on a kw t6 is now up

we only offer freightliner cascadias or pete 387s now

so far due to the space inside the cascadia that is a reason we are choosing it but i am thinking it could possibly be somewhat unreliable....

the pete a lil less room but the reliability factor keeps chiming in..

ooo decisions decisions.. what to do what to do...:biggrin_2553::biggrin_2553:

IMO There is nothing more reliable about a 387. They are pretty is about it. There are alot of unpractical things I don't like about them. The Cascadia would be a good decision.
    orion3814 Thanks this.

I just want to know who you work for in or around Tulsa and are you happy? I'm at Miller Truck Lines and very unhappy. PM me if you don't want to say.

If resale value doesnt matter then I would go with the Cascadia because I am assuming it would get better fuel mileage than the Peterbilt with its aerodynamic design. I'd also consider whether both engines take Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Who wants to buy that at $3 a gallon too? Just another hastle even if it improves mpg like they say.

    can't read the sign
    That was my question too:yes2557:

If you can't get the T-6 then I'd probably go with the Cascadia....if it was a 379 they were offering I'd go there but a 387:biggrin_25512:

If you can't stick with the T6 then go for the Cascadia. Just remember its not the name on the truck that counts, its the names under the hood.

well we only have about 5k saved right now we have done good over the years of lease but family and some friends that are like family that deserve it have gotten help over the years i dont regret it one bit either..

mom and dad have the to youngans at home aka the lil brother and sister when mom was laid off she had a heart condition and dad had to take time off from his job to help keep the house together hes a government employee works for the b.i.a. that was 6 months and by no means are they lazy...

grandma a few years ago was diagnosed with lung cancer when she passed last spring there were a lot of bills to contend with we took care of that for the family..

and now we are helping another family member that has terminal liver cancer and her husband keep it afloat..

that is why we wil be doing another lease.. if we had the money saved we would def do a buy out..

we had a goal of saving everything we could and building a house but we have put that all on hold for the greater good...

im just hoping the freight shaker doesnt leave us on the side of the road because the kw during the duration of the lease has never done that...

i wont hesitate at all to say the company i lease to lol

its PRIME INC.. lol def=piss i will be drinking a lot more water...

i like where i am i can complain but it will get me no where and if i went else where it would be the same if not worse,.. i have been at worse ears ago.. by all means prime isnt the best but no company can meet everyones expectations of the proverbial good company..
i like them cause they keep me moving my dm buddy is the best #### dm i have ever had dude is a miracle worker and has a heart as bi as my wife and i..

i am not based out of the springfield terminal im based out of the slc terminal.

the springfield terminal has too much goin on and sometimes things get a lil messed up over there imo but overall this company goes above and beyond when we go above and beyond..

Hmmmm I thought the leases were all lease-purchase deals. Guess not. All I can say is my 387 hasn't been too much of a headache. I know the earlier years of this model had some substantial problems. Have no info on the Cascadia, so I can't help you there.

I drive a 387, with a Cummins No DEF fluid, The truck has had no issues, I blew a Turbo at 490 miles, that was determined to be a Manufacturers defect, and they paid for down time and Hotel. There is plenty of room in them, I had t get creative and build shelves that are not attached to the trucks, it handles well in all Weather, and honestly rather comfortable.
You will have to set it for your ride comfort, ie sleeper shocks, for sway, etc. depending on your wheelbase, you will need to have the fifth wheel set just slightly forward of dead center to get 11900 on the steers which makes it ride great and prevents wheel hop, or excessive wear on the steers. 100k out of a set of steers is conceivable. When using the side boxes be careful to push them to the side so you do not break the spring, I did and not to bad to replace.
