Hi guys just wanted to give an positive update on my situation! I was fired last week from Roehl for not disclosing 2 not at fault accidents that weren't on my MVR report (I didn't know I had to. They weren't on my report).
I just got off the phone with Roehl and they told me I'm eligible for rehire. She told me to apply again in 6 months. This sounds like good news because I have my fleet manager in my corner. She didn't want to see me go.
I'm sure she's love to have me back and HR too. The HR lady told me last week when she fired me that she tried fighting my termination all week because I was a good driver. So I feel like I have a good shot at getting my local position back with Rohel.
I spoke to a recruiter at CR England. I know a lot of people clown them but the account they're offering sounds good along with the pay. I know Roehl said try again in 6 months, but in want to stay with CR for a least a year before trying Roehl again. Just to have some stability on my job history. Does this sound like a good idea? I know CR also has local accounts too, maybe staying with them until one opens up is a better idea?
IM ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRE!!! Does this sound like a good plan?

I would choose CR england over unemployment, that's for sure. They can't be THAT bad.... can they???
I mean, at least their equipment seems to be kept in pretty decent condition.Oxbow, Flat Earth Trucker, bryan21384 and 3 others Thank this. -

Normally, I'd tell Roehl to go pound sand, but I realize, that endangers future jobs. I wouldn't believe anything they say, and I'd move on. If you were a good driver there, I wouldn't tarnish that, but there are SO many good jobs, not that Roehl isn't, but if 2 non-fault accidents are fire worthy, either you aren't telling us everything or some other issue. Not on your MVR, how did they find out,,something fishy. Roehl is still a good reference, and if not on your record, I probably would tell the next job anyway. If Roehl found out, they can too. Sorry to hear your situation, but you'll do okay. Keep us posted, hey?

Sounds like a solid plan. You have to work somewhere for the next while even if you decide later to go back to Roehl.
Take the CR England job and put your year in. Never know, you may like them and stay, or in a year want to go back to Roehl. That door is open at least for you.RockinChair, Another Canadian driver, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this. -
The lady from safety mentioned that they did a 3rd party background check (probably to try and see if I ever filed for workers compensation before) and that's how they found out. She had to ask me for the details because there was no information on file because these aren't on my MVR report (I paid myself to pull it up. They aren't on there).
Several helpful drivers on here said they found out through insurance searches or something like that. This was never brought up from previous employers either. Wasn't at fault for either accident.201, Bud A., Another Canadian driver and 3 others Thank this.
