It's not about selling your soul. It's about keeping your record intact so you can move on.

Bottom feeder companies are a disservice to the industry because they take people that could make a great enjoyable living and make them unemployable.

Man ain't that the truth. Just remember you are responsible for what the truck does, when it moves, and what it doesn't hit/damage. This is a little harder with a co-driver especially if you get a lazy one that likes to stop to eat every couple hours and makes you do most of the driving to get anywhere on time. Remember your good clean record is your ticket to a better job once your commitment to your training company is completed.

Someone only becomes unemployable because they choose not to stay with a company or their driving is not done in a responsible safe manner. I was raised that just because a job ain't perfect doesn't mean you quit. It's about work ethic. Apparently everyone wasn't raised that way. Becoming unemployable is on the driver not the company. I can work for crst and they may be a terrible company. But I have determination. it's not about selling your soul, you are correct. However, like I said it is about the bigger picture. CRST is one year out of a long profession as a truck driver. one crappy year pales in comparison to a many more years.

    Crst is extreme
You know they're too cheap to put dump valves on their trucks?
That's right, tractor doesn't line up with trailer? Just dolly up or down
Tug brake? Sorry. Crst is too cheap for that.
Cab curtains? Be thankful you have a sleeper curtain.
    Get used to opti idle
It only takes about 4 months to get used to the truck shutting off and restarting every ten minutes.
    They don't believe in apus

Drivers are expendable resources .....fuel is a necessity. Which one do you think CRST cares more about, the cost of fuel or the health of a driver?

I've had to deal with that before. crappy equipment. when I said extreme I didn't mean that. I have researched their equipment and I'm aware it's not top of the line. But when does anyone ever start out at the top. It's a totem pole type thing I'm sure, you have to work your way up. none of these posts have been about the equipment being terrible though. they've been about selling my soul to a company that only does teaming. that to me is not such a bad thing. however, crappy equipment (or the lack thereof), is extreme.

I'm sure like every other company they care about the freight because it makes them money.
