It's taken more than a month, but I was offered a position with transport national hauling oversize with them out of the Cincinnati terminal.

    Rather excited.

It's been a really different process when compared to other hiring processes. These guys had me do my drive test as well as my drug screen prior to even going to orientation. It's taken so long because I've been so busy running loads out west and such. I'm seriously looking forward to learning The od side of the industry

I'd surely like to pick his brain and get a feel for the company. I was down at the Cincinnati terminal on Friday talking with the terminal manager there as well as a couple of the driver's. One of which have me my road test

The most valuable thing that you have is your name. There are quite a few drivers in the OSOW business who don't seem to realize how important their name is. You get a load, give that load 100%. Every load every time. The office people will notice quickly that you never drop the ball. When the company gets that's critical load, they will look to the guys who have proven day by day to never drop the ball.

One more thing...if and when you become that 'go to guy', don't tell anyone. If they don't know who you are, they don't need to know.

    Luck in battle.
