Theinverterstore.com is where I got my 2000W pure sinewave and it's been great so far. Seems like the AIMS inverters are decently priced there and alright quality as long as you don't overload it.

I got a Krieger, it's been transferred between quite a few trucks, and dropped a few times in the process, and it's held up great. I got the 1100w, I wish I had a bigger one but it works just fine for a good price.

I've got two of these units.
    Made in USA. Very reliable.

Mine works good, came with the Trip Pac set up, but not enough ### to drive a microwave.

I want one that will drive a small microwave.

I don't understand the point of companies setting up APUs that don't have the power to power much of anything in the truck. I get that they still run the AC and such, but it seems stupid to make one that doesn't have a good size alternator and inverter in it.

Probably drive a CPAP. It's an Ingersoll Rand. Wattage unknown. It's pretty big. 1000 maybe?

After talking with some other truckers and a couple of electricians (one home and one automotive), the unanimous consensus is Xantrex power inverters are the ones to buy.

If you actually ever max out the 3KW then 2/0 should barely be enough. That's 215 amps at 14V not accounting for efficiency. You got it right, but do the calculations when you put dangerous #### together :p
