Well, it boils down to "if you still have a job or not". Regardless of this outcome, you can still get a job driving. Just slow down in the future! People that read my comments know I can be tough on this kind of stuff. Were it my decision and assuming all your comments are true I would not fire you. I would, however, put the fear of god in you about slowing down.

Yeah. First offense. Has a pulse and working at Schneider. He'll probably get told don't do it again and put back on the road.

Like others have said, even if you get a warning, and the officer did a level 1,2,or 3, then points go on the companies CSA and on the driver's PSP. (Pre employment screening program).

    Trucker61016 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

You need to make sure you roll thru the scale houses with no issues like bald tires, missing mud flap, headlight out etc. Any more points could make it hard on you. In 3 years those points fall off.

As the company safety guy, I try to explain to my drivers that keeping the CSA points off the company scoreboard is just as good for them as it is for the company. High CSA numbers mean a high ISS number.
ISS is the pass/inspect number DOT uses as to whether you get pulled for a random inspection.

Alot of the Big mega companies wont hire a driver with alot of PSP points. One in particular is Marten Transport.
