They should put that musical rumble strip stuff down. So Habib can hear a tune as he goes into the rhubarb at 65 mph.

What should I even be aiming for? I peaked probably somewhere between 250 and 260, but only officially started recording it in this thread at 246.
I am 5'6" and have a stocky build. Never been skinny. Only really started packing weight on when I started trucking in 2007. All the bmi calculators online say someone of my height is considered healthy at 118-154. I can't even tell you the last time I was in the 150s. Even 154 seems ridiculously low to me. Maybe I should just get to 200 and revisit it then. I don't have nearly the muscle mass I used to. I have this idea in my head that I should forget about any weight training until I see <200. At least my blood pressure is good. Had it checked the other day, 124/82. Probably has a lot to do with the recent bike riding and daily walking. I was expecting 140+/90+.

Reading all this stuff about loose skin after relatively significant weight loss and wondering if it might be just as bad (or worse) than just being fat. If I get to the top of the healthy range I will have dropped 90 pounds. That could be the weight of a small person. That's insane.

I thought I was a stocky build too at 230 and 5'7. Apparently I'm not. I'm still hovering around the low to mid 150's and I could probably stand to lose another 2 or 3 lbs of fat (ideally replaced with a pound or two of muscle). As a society that's getting increasingly heavier, the idea of being 160 or lower seems to mind boggle almost everyone.

I guess I will just keep doing what I'm doing. If I can get to 200 that will be a big accomplishment. Probably been 10 years since then.

FFE96952-DA91-4AB4-820A-DA630BB72323.jpeg Measure your waist. Your target is less than 37”. 160 pounds at most IMO
When I was in absolutely top form years ago 5’8” 132 lbs
That was 4 hours in gym, 5 miles running and sparring 6 rounds EVERYDAY!
I’m comfortable here and no I have not gotten any taller:D

I know the waist is slowly shrinking. I need a belt for all my pants now or else they will fall off if I don't hold them up.

Maybe I am too hard on myself. At 18 I too was perfect. 160-170 and probably at least 5 hours a day in the gym but I never was much of a runner. I would go on a tread mill after I couldn't lift anymore until the place closed at 10 or 11 pm. That was the result of the 2nd semester of my 1 year of university. I want to be back there. Cuz now I have a company and money and everything else in my life is complete. The only next thing is if I want to grow my company. I have identified a suitable spot for my own yard and how I will build my 40'x90' shop (with secret living quarters). But I look in the mirror and am devastated at what I've let myself become. Maybe this is just a bad day.

I don' think loose skin is a problem so much if you are losing weight slowly. That's JMHO. Loose skin I know is fast weight loss like popping out a baby or the result of stomach stapling or crash diets where folks can lose weight at alarming rate.
Look further down the road,,you are no doubt losing the weight faster than you gained it.
