Get a travel case for it. Bout the size of a large suitcase, store it under the bunk or up on the top bunk. Dont leave it out behind the bunk in the weather. That's bad for your drive system. Clean the gears and chain after you ride, it'll last longer.

Most large chain shops have a computer aided fitment service. Some charge, some don't. But it's very important that the bike fits you.

We have "fat bikes" in mountain biking, MTBing. They have fat tires 4-6" wide for sand and snow...

    nikmirbre Thanks this.

Well thats what I need... Every time I try to lose weight a donut comes into my life... I tried the walking scneario and I always got that "Weird Stare" from other truckers as I walked around in the parking lot... I went to rest areas and tried to walk there and again got the "Weird Stare" from the security guards... If people see you with a helmet on riding your bike there like yea hes workin out... If they see you walkin around with ball shorts on there like yea hes selling drugs...

    Right?
The fat bikes are a better work out with the extra rolling resistance but, they'll go anywhere any time.
There's also the folding bikes which have come a long way since they're invention. I dont know that I'd be on one over 250lbs though....

Different topic but, You might check out "take shape for life" tsl.org ... I was 221 and lost 60 in 6 months. Great diet for a trucker. 5 meals a day come in a box about the size of a 4 jug case of Delo 15-40. Then 1 lean and green meal a day, too. Foods pretty good nowadays. Good selection of bars and shakes that you don't even have to stop to eat. Unwrap and eat or mix with water, shake well and drink.
Others have to be microwaved (soups. Baked ziti, chili. Etc) or mixed with crushed ice (smoothies, ice creams, etc...
If I made you a one, you wouldn't know it was diet food... I don't preach diets but, this one actually worked. I've been holding 178 for 2 years. Was 158 but couldn't pull my tarps off a hay load so.. I haf to put 25 back on

Yea I love eating healthy when I can and have time to fix something in the truck... Somebody mentioned on here about some trails out in Arkansas... Do you know of any good trails out on the road? Something you can drive to in a semi

    Hella good trails in Arkansas!!
Get on facebook and join "friends of IMBA", or one of the many bicycle groups. They'll be someone in the area your at or going to, that can point you to a great trail system. You might have bobtail in or park your rig close by and ride in but, yeah, its doable.
I run American Armed Road and Mountain Bikers group on facebook.
Look up Old Guy Shreds Too might be all one word I dunno how FB shows it... or Golden Hills Trucking...
