Hello all, new member here, am currently in class A cdl school paying for it myself as I did not care for the (free) schools terms. I am brand new to this world and know almost nothing lol. I guess any advice is appreciated, I am curious as to where I should apply and also if I should get a class B or class A job when I graduate as I cannot be OTR gone for weeks at a time. A few days at most honestly. Anyways I am out of Tucson area and looking to learn all I can before I go job hunting. Thanks !
In school brand new

Class A. Then you can drive a or b. Get a lot of endorsements. Tanker for sure. I wouldnt drive dry vans myself.
There's lots of local in tankers.Lav-25, Puppage and RockinChair Thank this. -
Awesome good info, I am getting tanker and hazmat endorsements.
RockinChair Thanks this. -
If you intend to stay more local with your driving -- it will behoove you greatly to go ahead, & get ALL the CDL endorsements (tanker, hazmat, doubles/triples) -- when you get your CDL-A.

If you can get the passenger one too that goes far too. Might cost more but its worth it i think

Definitely get Class-A cdl with all endorsements.

Correct, Class-A CDL is good for Class-A truck jobs and Class-B truck jobs.
Class-B CDL is only good for Class-B truck jobs and does not qualify for Class-A truck jobs.riobravo5966 Thanks this.
