I have a peterbilt 2003 379, it came with incandescent lights. I'm hooked to a 2005 east dump trailer with led lights. I changed all my tractor lights to led, but had to add incandescents in the system in order for them to work. An led flasher didn't work so I used a standard flasher. Am I doing this right?

yes i had to do the same, not enough power draw with LED to make flasher work

I also have a 2003 379 Pete. I converted to LED last year on whole truck. This said, go by Pete and get the flasher for LED turn signals. Have not had a problem
EverLuc Thanks this. -
When using the "LED flasher" make sure it has a good ground on the flasher itself or it will not work.

You can also put resistors inline.

Hi guys and girls, thanks for the quick responses to my dilemma. I'll give them a try and let you know how I make out. Sorry for not getting back sooner, but we're in a state of emergency here on long island and the lower part of NY due to a lack of salt. Lots of hours. Thanks again.

Is the DOT allowing you to fill the box and go as they did many many years ago during a bad winter?

Hi bigguns, in NY we have divisible load permits of up to 120000 lbs. Our problem was crossing the Verrazano Bridge from Staten Island to all our contracted locations as the bridge has reduced its weight per vehicle to 80000 lbs. This was put into affect after the bridge collapse in Minnesota. Since we've been getting hammered with all this nasty non compliant Global Warming Climate Change crap, they are letting us run our permitted weight

Hi Paul, will the resistors last longer than installing incandescents in each headlight pod?

I just went to my parts stor and bought a 352 I think it was electronic flasher and it works fine
