Anyone have any info/opinions on SGT? Looking to get on with them as soon as I get my CDL. My reasons for choosing SGT as a starter company:
    1. Fleet is 75% manual transmission.
    2. Long haul opportunities for single drivers, i.e. greater than 500 mile radius.
    3. No longer known as "####ty Green Trucks" Old green trucks being used for local and intermodel while long-haul fleet is currently being upgraded with newer Cascadias with all the amenities, i.e. fridge, apu, inverter, etc.
    4. No contract.
Can anyone fill me in on what the company is like to work for as a whole? I understand about their pay package--not the greatest, but typical as far as companies that hire new grads goes.

    Thanks

I had a friend who was with them; young guy, newly married out of the armed forces, wife and daughter. He showed me a blotch growing on his stomach, he had to reschedule a biopsy as he missed the first one because they kept him out too long despite assurances and promises he'd be back for it.
Think about driving for a company that cares so little about your piece of mind while you are out there-
(and the pay, I would've seen bigger paychecks staying home working for mcd or tim hortons - it's a scam

Don’t know abou driving for them, but they had an abandoned truck sitting at the Regina Husky for almost four months, back around 2012.

Bison and Schneider are no different. No Contract and Manual experience will be worth it, do 13-25 months, then enjoy being able to apply to any trucking company in Canada....literally.

    Are you in Toronto?

If so, maybe skip all those steps, and go talk to XTL, they are on a blitz, and honestly, I wanna go drive for them lol.
