I see a lot of companies advertising on Instagram. Are they usually just as bad as Craigslist companies?

The ones I see in Canada have already run through the good drivers then the immigrants now are desperate and advertising everywhere.. stuff like deducting trailer damage from any driver that doesn’t report it immediately upon Pretrip or not seeing a flat spotted tire in the dark when they pick up a trailer. Once drivers figured out they had numerous guys paying for the same thing on a trailer they quit lol

Are you talking about paying for ads on social media and blasting them out everywhere or using their company page saying they’re looking for drivers?

If you have to advertise to get drivers, then maybe you need to raise your standards and seek more than meat in the seat.

Not always the case. We had to get drivers in another state because we were putting trucks down there. Boss put a post on the company Facebook page and left it up for a day. Had the trucks filled and a waiting list going by the time we took over the account a month later, but he still had to initially get the word out that we were coming down there.

Two types of social media trucking companies.

The longstanding carriers that use it to aid in business relationships then recruitment.

Swift, knight, roehl, Schneider, jbhunt, ect...

    Then

The unreputable companies that go all in on social media for recruitment / hyping up trucking to be more than it is.

    Merdzic inc for example.

If their social media ad is too good to be true, then it is and any company that has A.I. slop as their primary social media tool is a no go.
