After nearly 30 years of traveling through Pennsylvania,It has caused me severe brain damage....Heres why....Driving by certain exits to understand why they exist.

1.Exit 29 "Barkeyville/oil city" is where you'll find a bunch of puppy dogs barking and Yiping at a miniature oil pipeline thats spewing oil up about 5 feet from the ground
2.Exit 70 "Strattanville" is where you'll find 'bob' welcoming everyone to his shop with that deep 70's pornstar voice
3.Exit 73 "Corsica" iIs where most residents own a Chevy Corsica, Rumor has it you can find them in most driveways being worked on to this day
4.Exit 90 "DuBois" Yes,You guessed it.....A particular large chested Blonde in Glitter and Gold,Her Name "Sugar DuBois"
5.Exit 173 "Lamar" This is where you'll Find a young black guy with purple leggings on throwing a Javelin 100 yards
6,Exit 192 "Jersey Shore" Yes,Its true, You will be in Asbury Park visiting Bruce Springsteen in 5 minutes getting off the exit
7.Exit 212b "Milton" Getting off here makes you want to Play Candyland or Connect Four for days on end.
    8. Exit 298 "Scotrun" Which is really "Scrotum" Yes, You need a Huge Scrotum to go up or down that Hill...

Scotrun 298 Exit is at the bottom, after the 80 - 380 split.
That's where the on ramp puts you out into the hammer lane,
with trucks going 80 plus trying to play pinball with the newly injected cars doing 50.
Yes, it is one real man sized hill, going up or down it. Always burning brake smell thru there.
In between the fills for lanes going each way got the name "Devil's bathtub" from crews that built it.
On the downhill 80 East lanes, a armored car went way, way down the bank and smashed open,
I never saw so many cops in one place; looked like a Dunkin Donuts sale.
They did account for every last gold bar. (Darn it.)

D.Tibbitt, stayinback and bzinger Thank this.

I wonder about those stories sometimes.

IF all that gold split open with gaurds too busy hurting, unconsious or dead... a couple of them bars would eliminate many things in life.

I-80 in PA was more of a speed problem than anything for me. With the special attention paid to Milesburg. Its not much of a hill, but it is quite a hill. 10 miles of fun.

    I just looked up the armored car crash referenced above;
'cause I was going to copy/paste it back in here.
I tried searching it several ways, it wouldn't come up.
Was in the early 80's just after highway was built.
I'm gonna ask the owner of the tow company that did the recovery
if he kept any pictures; it was kind of a big deal back then.

It isn't the length of this hill, its so steep in a short distance, you pick up speed,
and the challenge of the lanes having to be filled in between two hills,
for about a half mile to construct the roadbed.
