Im interested in knowing if anyone has an authority thats at least 2 years old that they want to sell because they are getting out of the business? It has to be in good standing with the DOT/FMCSA? Dont need truck or assets just aged authority with clean records. Let me know...thanks!

Interstate authority wanted! Preferrably 2+ years old.

Ummm.... Kind of a strange request. Why not just apply for your own authority? It will most likely be cheaper.

After some research and investigation I have found that purchasing the existing (Good-standing) authority from someone else is a good idea; in fact, if there is anyone else on here getting out of the business and would be interested in selling theirs I am very interested. thanks

112racing I Don't Have Posts To PM But Can You Tell How Much $$$$ You Got For Old Authority?

Maybe he is thinking about carriers, shippers and brokers that will not deal with a newbie authority. Just a guess.

Plus ya won't have to go thru an audit or meet the new requirments just implimented for new carriers.
slabrunner and trucker43 Thank this. -
dbrown huh. Sounds like Transport D Brown trucking MC 381106 who scammed a bunch of truckers by double booking loads for more then they were worth then skipping out on paying the carrier before they shut them down. I can see why you would need someones authority to run under if your the same person.
trucker43 Thanks this.
