Do you get IFTA sticker and Interstate decal/DOT numbers sticker after orientation? I really like the deductions at Interstate begin about 10% less.

Still so, the ones I have read state "Percentage paid based on what's Billed to the Customer". Not at all saying you are wrong. One still must do their research. It's just that there are plenty of Carriers out there that pay their Lease Drivers alot more than 68% billed. I see all the time where many stated just a flat % and many thats state a % billed to Customer. I agree there's a huge difference. One must look and they can find better paying Lease Carriers.

INTD will decal and install Qualcomm after you finish orientation; plates and IFTA will come shortly there after, mine took about a week.

I live in my truck...lol, and getting 4k/week is difficult. $3-3.5k is fairly easy. And like @MicksRule said earlier, you can get burned waiting on a regular load to pop up and it never does or someone else snatched it.

I try running a 4 or 5 leg triangle thru cali, oregon, denver/slc, and back to cali. some legs pay great, some not so much. but its about the averages...

So if you live in your Truck and average only $1,250-1/wk after expenses, why Lease then? As a Company Driver, you can make at least that much, if not more. I once stay out 90 days at a time and took a weeks paid vacation, for nine months. I averaged $1,400/wk without the worries that come with Leasing. Once I stated going in every other weekend, I dropped down to $1,200ish/wk. Makes no sense to take all that risk without any sort of reward. I got my numbers based off your 3-3.5k/wk. $1,000/wk fixed and a low figure of $1,000/wk for fuel at 2,500 miles/wk @ 7.2 mpg. The so called freedom cant be the sole reason. As there really isnt any.

    I do a little better than $1250 a week.
You assume I'm taking a big risk. I actually consider my risk to be very minimal.
I don't know of any company gigs that pay the same or more for dry box that allow me to work when I want, where I want, and for who I want.....I guess it is the "freedom".

Can't work when and where you want and still make $1,250ish/wk. I doubt you can also work where you want within a Lease from the Company Interstate goes through. Also a blown Tire, the $300 Oil change. Babysitting your MPG's to maximise your paycheck. Not a whole lot of freedom. You walk away and lose that Maintance account you built up ect... Huge risks plague a Lease Operator everyday. Get close to your payoff and for any reason they can cancel your contract. Make to much and they throttle you back. I see and read about it everyday. You guys walk a razor on thin ice. But if that's freedom to you, you'll can keep it.

You have to buy a truck and then lease it on to interstate. There is no maint acct. This is not a typical lease you would see at some of the megas. Owner op comes to interstate with his truck that he's paying on and then pulls freight for interstate for a certain percentage and works where and when he wants.
