I asked one of the dispatchers there if they would pay me layover for the fact I sit, but he said to speak with the terminal manger and he's pretty useless so i'm not even going to try.

I don't think the company pays layover anyway

I'm a new driver and even I know this is a bad choice your making by staying. How old are you? A bus ticket back home is that expensive and since you have Internet and a lot of time you should be making phone calls. But seeing your lack of confidence in yourself maybe trucking isn't for you.. And that lame reason as to no fright do you actually believe that? When they are more then happy to deadhead you 900+ miles Be safe out on the roads.

this is only the second time I've sat days on end

happened once in McAllen, but I've been told that that does happen occasionally. somebody told me you have to kick and scream like a 2 year old to get out of McAllen..a game I refuse to play

You'll show them. You'll sit there and take all the crap they'll give you and come on here and complain. Makes perfect sense.

I'm not sure how my previous response went over your head but I'm starting to see how and why the more you post. Filling out job applications shouldn't be too difficult for an experienced driver. You did fill your own application out to get the job at IRT right?

Try Bynum, they looked good when I did research a few months ago. IRT was the worst, Oakley a little better, Bynum drivers seemed happy compared to the others. Good luck

IRT is actually better than the other 2.

I can idle, I can "line 5" I can go out of route, i'm not told where to fuel, you can't get much better than that

I don't know anything about Bynum

I was fired from Oakley, which is a company that is incredibly micromanaged. they tell you where to fuel and they only use 1 chain. they give you a strict fuel/routing and make you follow it. any company that puts APU's on their trucks isn't that good of a company, I have already explained on many threads (most have been locked) that I refuse to work for a company that has APU's
