Is 56 to old to go trucking?

    Well, you can easily replace that "few hundred dollars" pension you expect, with a couple of rental houses/condos. You don't even have to deal with the headaches of owning rentals; just let the real estate company do the managing, collecting rent, maintenance, etc. for a small monthly fee. I'm small time rental owner and have never even met the people that rent from me or dealt with any of that. All I do is see the bank deposits from the rent checks.
    The ball is in your court though; you decide. You and the wife can split 1/4 million $ a year teaming with a company such as Old Dominion Freight Lines, Estes Express, R&L Carriers.
