is the east BST II worth the 37k Hale is asking. I see others for about 39-42k ish. I don’t know what I am hauling so looking for a good general flat. About a week away from finally getting the ok to run from FMCSA. I see plenty of new trailers that have a coil package for 26-31k. The overall weight ratings are less but I don’t plan on going over 80k as of now.

This is a nice trailer. Air ride, one box, 48 spread axle all aluminum and shiny 24.5 rims and tires. Think 14 sliding tie downs.

I like overkill but at what price? Thanks for any advice.

East trailers are good. That looks like a good price for a new one. I would go with two boxes and 10 more winches. 12 on each side. Would also look at putting 22.5’s on it, unless you have 24.5’s on the truck. Coil package is a good idea. Will make resale better, should you decide to go to a different trailer later.

    For what?
Bring products to construction sites where they are dragged off with chains- wouldn't want a nice alum trailer for that.
Hauling palletized concrete mix to stores from a plant: alumimum is the way to go.

Just got a combo unit. Hale was taking forever. I was just looking for one trailer not 100 so the guy didn’t seem to care.

So I bought a new 2017 leftover. Added a second tool box, tire inflators, and a right weight system to it. For about 10 grand less then that overkill flat.

I have nothing but good things for East and a few other flatbed makers.

All i can tell you is this. If the trailer is what you want or you can add what you need to it, and you like it, go buy it.

Life is too short to be pulling something you hate.

Ahhh... the crossroads of Functionality & Vanity. There is a happy medium, but the trailer HAS to perform. Glad you found something that works for both functionally and aesthetically.
