I haul general chemicals locally in houston. We are still very slow, wondering if fuel is unaffected? And does fuel slow down in the winter down here in the south?
Is fuel going strong?

My latest gig: fuel hauling over in Southern GA.
My observation: fuel should keep you fairly busy--especially in TX.
Your main concerns with fuel: working nights, weekends, & holidays (as a new hire); slip-seating; & dealing with the idiots/four-wheelers in customer parking lots who don't respect what you are doing.

I can’t speak for the south, but in the PNW fuel slows in Jan/Feb. We are starting to ramp into peak season right now at my company. Lots of large farms, asphalt companies, etc. increase our workload all summer. Stations and bulk plants keep us alive during winter.

I haul both chemicals and aviation fuels.
Chemicals have slowed way down.
Av fuels are steady. And in some areas increasing. -

Between that and United supermarkets, I take it you're in West TX or NM?Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
We're right about where we should be for this time of the year. Farming, logging, construction, and the tourists are all busy.
At the end of this month I'll do a rough P&L for the year and I'll bet we're within 10 grand of last year.Trucker61016 Thanks this.
