Is it normal to bottom out everywhere

    I am new to pulling RGN and I noticed when I have to ride on the lowest stage because of the size of my load, the trailer bottoms out coming into and out of certain truck stops and other places... sometimes i have to hop out and raise the ride height because i get stuck on uneven pavement or gravel. It happens more often than id have imagined. Is this normal or am I just an idiot

    I've never pulled oversize loads, but yeah, if you gotta ride in the low hole and you come to an incline, you gotta raise it up, then put it back down when you start to get on the road.
    I just assumed all these newer RGNs had some sort of air suspension that you could just raise and lower it on demand. I mean I dont know, but yeah, if there's an incline coming outta a fuel stop, you gotta get enough clearance somehow.

    Now, I have seen some guys go out a different exit... one with little or no incline. Just look around and see if there is another driveway/exit you can go out.

    It depends on the kind of RGN also.... some sit lower than others...... Especially if you're heavy and where that weight is situated on the trailer.

    It’s normal. Kudos to you for watching for potential high centers. My problem would be, every time I had to jack around with the trailer height, I would have to remeasure the load for peace of mind. Then, I would have to remeasure the pole car.
