There is no FCC rule that say you can't use CBs for commercial purposes.

That may be true, I haven't looked at 95 in years but no one owns any one channel.

We've always called this fox hunting, never rabbit hunting.

Thinking the OP isn't talking about a 40 channel CB, but maybe a Motorola two way, local company I use to drive for uses these, and they kind of look like a CB, companies that use these pay a fee for the frequency, some times the repeater goes wacky, and other frequencies can be heard on yours

Settle down, Rosco. Typing in all caps is the same as yelling and there's no need to be making threats on this forum.

Buy a VHF. Problem solved. CB's are dead technology anyways.

You just never know what your going to find on the other end of that signal. So don't be to sure of yourself on going after people. Just let it go isn't worth it. as far as finding a cb radio, if they are transmiting from a stationary position, It would just a=take the drive time, typical would be less than 30 minutes. You do not need anything but a radio with a meter, and a mag mount you can stick on the extreme rear center of your car, should make it directional out the front, a right and a left should put you right on there signal quickly. There used to be people that would show up at the tea hunts in Burbank with RDF Loops, but they never competed against the cars that were set up.
