Is it unlawful to carry a hand gun in the truck

    I just wanted to no if a driver could carry a hand gun in the truck with you if you have a concealed weapon permit from the state your from .I no the permit only limits you to certain states.

    Pretty sure that any firearm is illegal in a CMV at all times but I could be wrong. Not sure if the concealed would change that or not

    but they sometimes get locked up by forum police.

    It is legal to carry it your state an states that reciprocate with your state on CPL's. When you go to states that you cant carry like NY you have to unload an lock your weapon in a locked box.

    Most people think it is illegal to carry but all it is, is company policy. There is no law that i know of that says you cant have a gun in the truck and i have been stopped before an the Bears were all fine with me carrying.

    Why would anyone need to carry in NY? :biggrin_2556::biggrin_2552:

    I'll have to hear this from a LEO I'm not carrying and then being it being confiscated!:yes2557:

    I believe its based on state laws for carrying in a CMV. I read the statue for Missouri and its not allowed. Same goes for Ohio.

    So far that's the only two states I've researched. And when I say research I mean close to an hour digging through the statue's.
