Lease Purchases are like progressive jackpots at a casino. Once in a while you will hear someone rant about how great and wonderful LP is. It is not. Carriers give only so many trucks away to keep the monster fed and keep more suckers coming in. Just like a Casino LOL

I wouldn't say leasing is great, I'd say leasing is the path of least resistance to getting into a new truck. It hasn't been horrible, it hasn't been terrifically, awesome. I go home when I want, I turn down loads I don't want, and I may own the truck if I stick it out. I've saved money and I've paid my taxes and got a state and federal refund every year. It is what it is. I'm not a masochist and I've been leasing over 2.5 years. Oh the horror!!!!!!

I don't ever remember even hinting that anyone doing a LP was a loser. If you can show me where I did I will apologize. As far as mine and your conversation I don't understand why with a paid for truck someone would let it sit in the driveway and go get a lease payment just because he couldn't find work for the paid for truck.Even if your making more money.your overhead price is also more.So if you could work the paid for truck and clearing $1800 a week compared to a truck with a payment of I have no ideal what it cost to lease a truck a week but guessing say $500 you would have to clear $2300 a week just to break even.So maybe it's me I really don't understand that plan. And repairs to a truck is cheaper then paying for the truck. And sorry as far as leasing or buying I'm on the buying side every time.

You were all over Playa on the Malone lease he was doing, for one. Pretty much calling him a liar.

Never down on him for doing a LP.We didn't agree with numbers he was posting. What did I say to him discouraging about him are anyone about doing a LP.This conversation before you decided to give your opinion about I was hating on LP.Wasnt about LP it was about making more money and working less. You accused me of hating on LP instead of saying I didn't agree with someone about numbers 6months ago where did you see me say anything about hating on a person about LP.

First ... corporations work on a much smaller margin than a sole proprietor ... typically in the 5% to 10% is considered great and 4% is more common.

Seriously, you believe that UPS is paying cash for their trucks ... please just do the arithmetic. Corporations do indeed lease or at the very least finance the purchase of capital equipment.
