I sometimes still hear stuff coming out of the speakers in my sleeper when the radio is turned down all the way or set to aux input.

 

or your hearing someone else’s conversation

 

The ringing in my ears blocks everything out.

 

I find my tinfoil night cap keeps them out.

 

Sorry, it was the voices in my head being a bit too boisterous, I'll ask them to tone it down.

 

That accounts for the echoes.

 

Some nights are like that. When the air is just right and the sound travels a certain way it carrys voices and music like its right next to you. There have been occasions when I step outside and away from my shop at night and hear other neighbors that are a mile down the road and no longer hear my own radio. I bet someone else hears it a mile away from me better than I do. Lol! It’s spooky when you are on a big ranch and the air is crisp and clear and you hear the cattle talking and fussing to each other miles away from you.

 

if there is a powerful CB around they can be heard on a radio that is turned off.
