    hello all,

Today I lost about 5 gallons of coolant while changing the filter and I replaced that with green pure coolant ant did not dilute it, should I be ok or does this warrant a complete flush ? The exsistkng coolant was also green. It’s a 94 Detroit 12.7

Thanks for helping out a newbie

Where do you run in the winter it should show on the bottle what concentration you would need for different temps

I’m only in Colorado and summer is coming up and I’ve been reading pure coolant is not good for hot temps

It's not. I would flush it and get it right. Piece of mind thing ya know.

Don’t flush just get a cheap coolant tester to get a base line and drain some and refill with distilled water. Remember it doesn’t need to be perfect just close.

Before you drain it why not put a radiator flush in it for a few days or if you drained all of it before why not catch it and reuse it to save money

That's what I'd do. Doesn't take rocket appliances....

True. Until you mix a little red with the green. Then all the scientist want to come out. Lol. Antifreeze is a way under discussed topic in my opinion. Honestly I didn't even know you could still buy green antifreeze.
