Heavy haul has interesting terms.
Take the parts of an articulated trailer.
-step deck
-bridge
-flip axle
-jeep (as in Wrangler or CJ-5?)
-dolly (as in hello?)
-gooseneck
-booster (as in a puppy shot at the vet's office or a space rocket engine?)
-fixed spreader
-hydraulic equalizing spreader
-flip necks
-dropdeck
-modular deck
-deck insert
Then there are "pilot cars" (escort vehicle)?
Route surveys.
The big yellow (Wide, Oversize, Long) Load signs on the vehicle are called a banners.
There are strobe beacon lights.
Is there a definitive heavy haul glossary?
