Im in Edmonton and am interested in an open board deck work situation but the pay seems weak with most carriers. Is there a company that pays hourly cross border long haul?

Finding an hourly paying, $120K a year, cross border, general open deck job is going to be tough if it even exists.

Evans Trucking (Coaldale, AB) was claiming their guys could do about $100K a year. - I don’t know the details on what it takes to get that but it’s the highest I’ve heard of for general open deck, OTR work.

To realistically get $120 a year I think you’ve got to look into the heavy haul / oversize segment.

    It's not impossible, but rare.

$100,000 is a lot more common.

Correct. Be prepared to work. But you get paid well for it.

I spent 10 years doing dock work before driving so I'm accustomed to it. I think your based in Winnipeg, right? Do you know if that kind of money is available to Edmonton drivers?

Edmonton doesn’t run stateside. Calgary does a meet in billings I believe. Edmonton meets a Regina driver and does a meet in northern bc. City guys do 70-90k.
