I worked for stevens only two weeks with my trainer . I left after two weeks into my 5 week trainer period. If i got off the truck and my trainer went about the delivery how could that be abondenment ? it was aq lease truck on top of that.. thanks for any info .....

Personally, I would not think of it as abandonment. You were not assigned a truck per se' & the truck was able to continue delivery without delay.

Im more inclined to say it's "quitting under dispatch". I can't tell you which, if either, has more bearing on your furure employment.

You might need to explain why you bailed out in the middle. It could certainly have been the trainer or some type of unavoidable personality clash. Im sure you had your reasons.

ok , lets say for the sake of argument here they did write abondenment or , quit under dispatch , If i hired back on with them could they remove it for me with out me asking or would i have to ask them to remove it , and if the don't i could pay that service that helps clean -up dac reports to fix this?

I am taking it you have this info on your DAC
if so then this is what you need to do...

Get a copy of your DAC (plenty of info on this site how to do that) if you have not already..

Call USIS (DAC) and have them explain the rebuttal process to you..
    Its something like this..
You must right a letter to USIS requesting a rebuttal and why...
The company then has 30 days to respond
Sounds like they will have to remove it... But they don't have too if they don't want too even if its a lie... In this case you will need to hire an attorney and go from there... Again this site has a section on DAC fix with people who can do that...

What you did is not abandonment but simple quiting without notice... This is the companies way at getting back at you... Even a dispatcher you had can submit negative info to USIS and have your DAC messed up...
As I found out threw a rebuttal I had to go threw...
USIS is a joke and is totally working for big companies to keep people out of work....

There's no way you can call that abandonment. You've got to leave a truck unoccupied in order for it to be labled abandoned.

I was in the same position several years ago. I got off of trainers truck when my first son was born and my trainer went on to del the load. I had let my company know I would do this in advance but ,it did not matter to them. I was still charged with leaving the truck. They put this on my dac report but with a little explaining,l I was able to overcome this when looking to other companies for work.

Yep, that's exactly how it will show up on your DAC report: Abandonment

How long does a company have to file with dac against someone or former employe? does it matter if you are still working for them or not when they add to your dac ?
