In my area, U.S. Foods out of Seabrook, New Hampshire is paying a flat $25.50 per hour plus overtime after 40.
The amount of cases and 'piecework' do not apply here.
I actually worked there for awhile and I have to say that I did like it.
Pay was pretty good, albeit long hours.
The company is having a lot of difficulty retaining drivers so management is pretty lenient; no pushing here. Get the job done within a reasonable amount of time and that's good enough.
I was working upwards of 67 hours a week but... taking home close to $1600.00 a week. Plus reasonable medical insurance, 401K, and options to purchase company stock.
    Not bad.
Plenty of work there right now if you want it.

It would NOT surprise me if, "down the road" the company starts hiring a LOT of part-timers to take over the full-timers jobs, to AVOID paying overtime and benefits.

HOPEFULLY it does not happen, only time will tell.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

If they were going to hire pt drivers, they would have done it already.

You are not going to find 10 part timers for every company to be practical. People want insurance, they want money, and they want big paychecks.
Companies make money, they realize this. Thats why food service delivery will usually pay top dollar.

All this part timer hype, i dont see many otr part timers at megas, saving megas on paying cheap.

What he said :laughing3:. My son works there out of the Corona yard in Cali. He takes home some good money. But his schedule does usually start him around midnight hours. He also knows how to work the company/union, in others words, takes a lot of days off.
